After Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy’s breakup was caught on Next Gen NYC Season 2 cameras, Hudson decided to befriend a former foe: Charlie Zakkour. Hudson explained during the Next Gen NYC After Show his reasoning for aligning with the crypto trader, and it had everything to do with his former girlfriend.
“Well you know what they say. Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer,” Hudson admitted. “I was avoiding Charlie flirting with Ariana by being friends with him.”
It comes after Charlie hinted during Next Gen NYC Season 1 his desire to hook up with Ariana, even as she was in a long-term relationship with Hudson. “Ariana’s kinda growing on me. Maybe I’ll try to f—k her, lowkey,” he told Ava Dash, soon after he first met both Ariana and Hudson.
“I tried to pull my own Charlie move. I tried to like, be friends with somebody and have an ulterior motive,” Hudson added during the After Show of why he began hanging out with Charlie during the June 24 premiere. “And just like be really, really nice to them. But then secretly you’re just a total f—king a—hole trying to like get something out of them.”
However, Hudson ominously hinted at drama to come later during Next Gen NYC Season 2, when he shared that his best laid plans went very much awry. “I should’ve known better that the devil always has a bigger and deeper plan than anybody ever realizes,” he proclaimed during the After Show.
Ariana Biermann explains why she questions Charlie Zakkour and Hudson McLeroy’s new friendship
The dynamic duo of Charlie and Hudson puzzled their friends during the Next Gen NYC June 24 premiere, but everyone agreed they had one thing in common: a desire for Ariana.
“I didn’t know that Hudson and Charlie were like, friends. Because they both want you?” Ariana’s sister, Brielle Biermann, commented. Gia Giudice chimed in, “That’s what I’m saying.”
Even Hudson seemed initially thrown off by his change of heart towards Charlie, as producers asked him if it was “weird” for the two to be friends. “I mean, Charlie reached out to me, and it was kinda shocking,” he admitted. “Charlie is 80 percent d—k, 20 percent nice.”
Ariana added herself to the list of those bewildered by the situation. “I can’t seem to fathom, actually, why Hudson is hanging out with Charlie,” she declared during the After Show. “To start off with, him saying last year he wanted to f—k me, that’s the biggest thing. Crazy.”

But Hudson shared that he and Charlie had more in common than previously thought. “Like Ariana likes to say, the absolute worst parts of me, are everything that Charlie is,” he told producers during the After Show.
Hudson also hinted the friendship was born from his hurt after the end of his relationship with Ariana. “When you get in a bad headspace, I feel like you do things that kinda tend to hurt you rather than push you forward,” he said.
However, Ariana picked up on the fact that Hudson had an ulterior motive when it came to Charlie. “Hudson does sometimes like to play games, so maybe he thinks that if he’s friends with Charlie, Charlie won’t try anything with me,” she shared on the After Show, but then added, “Which, we were fully dating last year, and Charlie still was telling everybody how much he wants to f—k me.”
Charlie Zakkour reveals whether or not he’d hook up with Ariana Biermann
Charlie addressed the issue of hooking up with Ariana during the Next Gen NYC June 24 premiere, and didn’t exactly clear the air.
“I like Hudson…and I won’t f—k his girl,” he told Emira D’Spain, but then added the caveat: “Probably.” He continued, “Well I can’t guarantee, you know? She could…” he trailed off before adding, “Whatever.”

Hudson attempted to “set some ground rules” for Charlie during the Season 2 premiere, and told Ariana, “They need to know you’re still my woman—especially Charlie.”
When he brought up the topic with Charlie, Charlie shut down the idea that he’d hook up with Ariana. “What, with your ex-girlfriend?” he asked of the rules. “Yeah, don’t worry. I have no intention of sacrificing this friendship for that.”
But the Next Gen NYC Season 2 trailer hints the issue isn’t put to bed just yet, as Charlie is asked on speakerphone, “Did you hook up with Ariana?” The preview ends, however, before Charlie answers. Read more teases of a possible Ariana and Charlie relationship in the sneak peek.
