Below Deck Mediterranean‘s Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron’s son, Kayden Cameron Gallagher, is officially a year old! Gael and Nathan welcomed their son into the world on June 24, 2025, and are now celebrating his major milestone as he marks his big first birthday.
Nathan took to his Instagram Story, where he revealed that they were celebrating Kayden’s birthday at a play place. Nathan held his son in his lap before sliding down a slide, while Gael spoke from behind the camera, telling him how to hold Kayden. The little boy seemed very pleased with this activity, holding onto balls and babbling once the slide was over. “I think he enjoyed that more than me,” Nathan told Gael.
“Happy birthday to the most beautiful blessing God has given to the both of us,” he wrote over the video. “The love we share for you is out of this world.”
He also posted a photo of himself and Kayden cuddling together. “I can’t believe you’re 1 already. Absolutely insane,” Nathan wrote.

Gael also went all out when it came time to celebrate Kayden’s birthday. She took to her Instagram Story, where she posted a video of her prepping for her son’s birthday the night before. The former Below Deck Med deckhand set up a birthday sign, a bunch of new toys, and balloons for the little boy, who was so excited to see them when he woke up the next morning. “Happy first birthday to my little man,” she wrote over the video, as Kayden looked at his balloons in awe. “You changed my world and now I get to share mine with you.”

Before Kayden turned a year old, he got to meet Captain Sandy Yawn, Below Deck Med Season 11 chief stew Aesha Scott, and the rest of the crew working with Nathan during the charter season. The proud parents introduced him to the crew of M/Y Akira One during Season 11, Episode 2, where Captain Sandy even let Kayden “drive” the boat.
Gael took to Instagram after the episode aired, where she admitted introducing their “little man” to Sandy and Aesha “was so special.” “They’ve both always been incredibly supportive and have meant a lot over the years,” she continued. “It was also wonderful meeting the rest of the crew and making new friends along the way! Moments like these are ones I’ll never forget.”
Aesha took to the comments of the post where she gushed over the little boy. “I love my little nephew so so so much, always there for my giiiiiiirl,” she wrote.
