Next Gen NYC cast member Ava Dash is sharing new details about her friendship with In The City‘s Kyle Cooke. Kyle is now single following his separation from Amanda Batula and has been having fun this summer hanging out with his friends, like Ava.

Ava spoke with Decider earlier this month, where she opened up about her friendship with Kyle. “We have randomly just become in the same friend group, and we’ve been hanging out a lot in group settings,” she explained in a clip posted to Instagram on July 2. “And honestly, he’s just a lot of fun.”
She continued, noting how much fun it’s been to hang out in the Hamptons with the DJ and Loverboy founder. “He always takes the aux cord, and he’s always deejaying, and honestly, he kills it,” she added. “We just always have the best time. Yeah, it’s a lot of fun.”
Ava refused to say if she and Kyle had been romantically seeing each other. “What happens in the Hamptons stays in the Hamptons, for now,” Ava told Us Weekly on July 1.

Ava also opened up to the publication about her friendship and their shared friend group. “We have gotten really close in the past couple months,” she said of Kyle. “We have the same friend group. A lot of my best friends are also his best friends, so we’ve just been having fun.”
She continued, noting that she’s also gotten “close” with Summer House‘s Jesse Solomon and Mia Calabrese. “We went to Coachella together, and like, Carl [Radke]’s the sweetest guy,” she added. “We’ve all gotten so close, so yeah, we’re just having fun.”

Kyle Cooke shares where he stands with Ava Dash
Kyle had previously addressed whether he was “messing around” with Ava during a March 10 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. He was asked by Andy Cohen if he was seeing Ava, but he confirmed that they just had a “very friendly dinner” together. “We were at a family dinner doing a family blessing, holding hands, so I was holding her [hand]. It was a random drinking day in New York,” he explained.
He admitted to PEOPLE in June that he’s so busy, he hasn’t had the time to date around. “I’m traveling a lot, so I’m not even really in a position to date in New York. I’m having fun,” he said. “I will 100 percent be single this summer because I’m looking at my calendar and I’m like, ‘Yeah, there’s no chance for me to even date locally.'”
