Gia Giudice Panics After Learning Hot Mic Moment Is on Camera

After being in front of cameras for most of her life, even Gia Giudice can’t escape an unexpected hot mic moment in a new Next Gen NYC sneak peek. The preview from Season 2, Episode 3 (airing Wednesday, July 8 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo and streaming next day on Peacock), shows The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter learning in real time that her behind-closed-doors conversation with Brooks Marks was not as secretive as she thought.

While pre-gaming an event in the above clip, Gia’s boyfriend, Christian Carmichael, mentions giving Charlie Zakkour a call, but Brooks has one request. “I just don’t want to hear his voice in my apartment,” he says. “So just don’t put him on speaker, please.” Christian, of course, obliges, and after their call ends, he stealthily texts Gia to let her know that Charlie had a demand of his own regarding Brooks.

After Christian’s texts are shown on screen, Gia, without hesitation, pulls Brooks into the bathroom and closes the door. “Charlie just said to Christian, ‘Make sure Brooks keeps my name out of his mouth,'” she whispers to him. “I’m just, like, tired of that s–t. Like, that is so toxic and crazy.”

When a producer mentions in a confessional afterward that she had “talked to Brooks in the bathroom,” a panicked Gia responds, “F–k, it’s shown? F–k. Christian’s gonna be so mad at me.”

A bit later, she continues, “Thanks, Charlie. Why are you putting Christian in the middle of it? You should have, honestly, texted me. It would’ve made things better.”

Why Gia Giudice got involved in Brooks Marks and Charlie Zakkour’s feud on Next Gen NYC

As for why Gia was so quick to spill the tea, she adds, “I want Brooks to be prepared, just in case Charlie tries to throw any curve balls at him.”

Before Gia and Books exit his bathroom in the scene, he tells Gia her that he doesn’t even “want to go” to what he’s previously described as his “first-ever guys’ night” anymore.

“I don’t know what I said or did that warranted that,” Brooks further remarks in a confessional. “And it feels, like, weird and threatening. I don’t know, I feel like I’m spiraling, and this roller coaster’s about to derail.”

In the two previous episodes, Brooks had already offered some more intel on what sparked his and Charlie’s feud. When Emira D’Spain informed him during the season premiere that she’d invited Charlie to her birthday party, for example, a disappointed Brooks responded, “I’m not, like, so excited about last year. His behavior cracked a lot of my friendships. And it’s like, I don’t want to lose these people that I’m, like, so close with.”

More specifically, Brooks eventually accused Charlie directly in Episode 2 of having been “so mean” to Riley Burruss last year, while also questioning his new close friendship with Shai Fruchter.

The drama ultimately puzzled Charlie, because, at least as far as he was concerned, he and Brooks were on “neutral terms,” heading into Season 2. As Charlie, who’d been navigating some legal drama at the time, told a producer, “Honestly, if he wasn’t so concerned with his image and who he thinks he should and should not be associating with publicly, it would be a lot easier for him to be my friend.”

What to expect from Gia Giudice on Next Gen NYC Season 2

Though the preview clip makes clear that Gia is firmly in Brooks’ corner amid his beef with Charlie, she’s also got plenty going on in her own life.

As Gia’s official Season 2 bio teased, “For the first time in her life, Gia is stepping out on her own and moving out of her family home. With this new chapter comes a desire to grow, and she is determined to be more compassionate and self-aware in her relationships. Having already built a strong following and recognizable brand, Gia is determined to continue her meteoric rise, but life at the top can be lonely.”

In the meantime, get details on what to expect from the entire Next Gen NYC cast on Season 2.
