Southern Charm‘s Shep Rose is teasing about where he stands with his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Ann Green, today. The exes dated for two years before breaking up in 2022, and have since reconnected following Taylor’s recent breakup from her ex-boyfriend, Gaston Rojas.
Shep appeared on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio on July 1, according to E! News, where he played coy about his friendship with Taylor. “She’s back in my life a little bit, and I’m very pleased with that,” he said.
He continued, admitting a self-reflection “spiral” brought him back to thinking of Taylor. “She loved me so much, and she cared about me so much, and I took it for granted. And I care about her and her family very much,” he explained. “Thankfully, that relationship stayed somewhat connected.”

He also admitted on the radio show that he thought his relationship with Taylor was “gone forever.” The exes had brought their relationship drama to light and exchanged words with each other during the Southern Charm Season 8 reunion, following their breakup, where Taylor stated that she felt “used” by Shep during their relationship. But he’s happy where they are now after taking time apart and seeing other people.
“We spent so much good time, so much laughter, so much adventure and intimate moments and lovely things,” Shep admitted. “It’s hard for me to understand how not to honor that with whether you want to call that nostalgia or what have you.”

Taylor has also been open about her current friendship with Shep, sharing glimpses at how they’ve been spending time together. She took to Instagram on June 19, where she posted a series of photos on a tropical vacation, wearing an all-brown outfit, and admitted that Shep took those Instagram photos for her. “Thank you [Shep] for being of use; give him a raise,” she wrote in the caption of the post, along with a camera emoji.

The Reset Athletic co-owner addressed what happened when she reconnected with Shep after her breakup from Gaston during a June 2 appearance on The Viall Files. She admitted that she had reached out to the Nothing in Moderation author first, who was so happy to hear from her.
“I mean, he was kind of beside himself, honestly,” Taylor explained during the episode about contacting Shep. “He was like, ‘I cannot believe you are sitting here in front of me. I cannot believe you reached out. I care about you. I think about you all the time. I think about your brother. There’s so many times I want to reach out to you. But I feel like I just couldn’t because your ex was holding you hostage.’ Which he was to a certain extent.”
