Kristi McBee Sheds New Light on Jesse & Alli’s Marriage Issues

When Jesse McBee hesitated about a weekend away in Las Vegas with his wife Alli McBee during The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys Season 3, Episode 7, his mother, Kristi McBee, questioned him about their troubled marriage, and shared her thoughts on the real reason behind their relationship problems.

“I think I kinda put our relationship on the back burner a little bit,” Jesse admitted. After Kristi responded, “It happens,” she shed more light on the months after Jesse and Alli’s daughter Summer was born.

“It’s just, you know, the timing of everything, with her kinda suffering through a little postpartum,” Kristi continued during McBee Dynasty’s July 27 episode. “That’s something you can’t—I don’t think you can prepare for.”

Jesse confessed he “definitely didn’t do a good enough job being there” for Alli after their daughter was born.

“I know from a wife’s perspective, it’s a lot to try to keep the peace at home in a very stressful situation,” Kristi pointed out to him. “It was tough to see [Alli] so down.” But Kristi added, “I think she’s coming out of it. I think she’s getting better.”

To producers, Kristi shared more of her own insight on her son. “Jesse has always been one—he internalizes his feelings,” she admitted. “And he’s not a good communicator. The combination of that with Alli’s postpartum, it’s been a rough time for them.”

Jesse and Alli have been forthcoming about all of the issues in their marriage during McBee Dynasty Season 3. But during the July 27 episode, Kristi opened up about why she was also concerned about Jesse, Alli, and Summer, and it involved her failed marriage to Steve McBee Sr.

“When you get married and you have kids, your life changes,” Kristi confessed to producers. “You know, my marriage didn’t work out. I don’t want them to go down the same paths that their dad and I went down. I’m going to try to do everything that I can to help them and to prevent that from happening.”

Kristi told Jesse her view that time away with Alli in Vegas would be “a good bonding time for you all.” She added, “Just for her to feel a little normal again, and a little connected with you, I think that would help.”

Kristi reminisced about how Alli and Jesse have been a couple since high school. “I mean, they talked on the phone for hours every night. He adored her. He went to every soccer game. She came to every football game,” Kristi pointed out to producers. “They need to find that again.”

She continued, “They need to be a team. And they need to remember how much they do enjoy each other.”

Alli didn’t hold back during the July 27 episode on where her marriage with Jesse stands. “Me and Jesse, our marriage, it’s not good,” she bluntly told producers.”

She revealed more on her postpartum struggles after giving birth to Summer. “I’m only a few months postpartum and my body has changed. I don’t feel comfortable in my own skin yet,” she shared. “But, Jesse is not making an effort. Now we just kinda are friends that just kinda live with each other. That’s how it feels.”

Jesse also agreed that his relationship with Alli “right now” was “not the best that it’s ever been.” He revealed that was the real reason why he didn’t want to travel to Las Vegas with Alli and the other McBee family members.

“I don’t want others to see [our relationship],” Jesse confessed to producers. “We’ve always kept everything in house. I just really don’t think it’s a good idea for us to go out there and figure out all of our problems, so they can give their advice. And honestly it’s not their relationship to solve.”
