Austen Kroll and Kristin Cavallari are giving a look at their friendship today. The Southern Charm-er connected with the Uncommon James designer in the past, but the duo is clarifying where things stand between them now.
Kristin took to her Instagram Story over the weekend, where she revealed that she was on vacation, hanging out with Austen. In the video, Kristin can be seen panning over to the TropHop founder while they sat at a table drinking cocktails and wearing swimsuit coverups. “Look what the cat dragged in,” Kristin said to the camera, referring to Austen as he smiled for the camera.
“Just friends,” she clarified. “Gonna get ahead of it now.”
She also pointed out the navy and white baseball cap that Austen was wearing on his head, embroidered with the phrase, “Good Vibes and Tequila.” “Do you notice his hat? Look at his hat,” she said, before revealing that it was from her brand, Uncommon James.

They have continued to meet up since then over the years, with them hanging out in Nashville in 2023 and later appearing as guests on the Boston stop of her podcast tour in March 2025.
In the past, Kristin addressed her dynamic with Austen and Craig on WWHL. “We were all really good friends for a while, and we had a drunk night, and we all posted some stupid Instagram dancing around, and it got blown out of proportion,” she told Andy Cohen in the September 2023 episode. “I’m still friends with them [and] actually, Austen is coming to Nashville this week, so I think that I’m getting dinner with him. So, we’re all friends.”
