Viewers won’t have to wait long to see Nene Leakes on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, because in a a first look at the RHUGT Season 6 premiere (airing Sunday, Aug. 9 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo) Nene returns to Bravo to help core cast member Porsha Williams pack her bags for the epic getaway.

After the former The Real Housewives of Atlanta castmates have a quick catch-up session, Porsha explains to Nene she’ll be joined on the cross-country adventure by Teresa Giudice, Vicki Gunvalson, Kyle Richards, Gizelle Bryant, Lisa Barlow, and Luann de Lesseps. Their itinerary, in order, includes stops in Orange County, Beverly Hills, Atlanta, Miami, New York, and at Dorinda Medley’s iconic Bluestone Manor in the Berkshires.
“How dare we celebrate 20 years as Housewives and leave out the Nene Leakes?” Porsha asks in a confessional, before revealing exactly when viewers can expect to see Nene again on RHUGT. “The queen herself will be making an appearance when we enter Atlanta.”
What fans can expect from Nene Leakes on RHUGT Season 6
Nene, of course, was a RHOA cast member on Seasons 1-7 and 10-12. As Porsha reminds viewers in the RHUGT clip, “The last time we saw Nene was Season 12. That was the reunion during the pandemic, and she did the close of the laptop.”
Back in their sit-down, Porsha tells Nene directly, “This whole thing is about iconic Housewives, but what about the iconic Housewife?” Then, following a series of clips documenting some of Nene’s most memorable RHOA moments, Porsha adds, “For you, after all this time, to come back for the 20-year anniversary is huge.”
Nene, for her part, agrees with Porsha, adding, “It’s huge.” As for what viewers can expect from her RHUGT episode, Nene predicts, “Atlanta’s gonna go up.”

Elsewhere in the RHUGT preview, Nene shares her thoughts on some of the RHUGT: Roaring 20th cast members. When Porsha admits that she doesn’t know Vicki, for example, Nene weighs in, “I think Vicki’s cool. I think she’s loud, but she’s cool.”
She also becomes visibly thrilled when Porsha mentions Kyle’s name, exclaiming, “Now, that is my girl!”
Finally, Porsha says that she “can’t forget Luann,” to which Nene replies, “I know Luann, honey. This is gonna be interesting.”

Where Nene Leakes and Porsha Williams stand today
Upon arriving at Porsha’s home, Nene says, “Long time, no see,” before asking for details on her relationship with Patrice “Sway” McKinney. “I’ve heard a lot, honey,” Nene adds. “We’ve gotta catch up.” After learning more about how Porsha and Sway’s romance began, she further remarks, “As long as you’re happy, that’s the only thing that matters.”
Prior to the clip dropping, Porsha had already offered hints about her friendship status with Nene via social media. Back in March, for example, Porsa posted a photo of her and Nene posing courtside at a basketball game in Atlanta to her Instagram Stories, adding two flame emojis.
Even before then, Porsha did not hold back her excitement when Nene’s RHUGT appearance was announced in January. “We had a MF time. [Big Sis Lil Sis]!! Y’all show love to The Queen,” she captioned one Jan. 24 Instagram photo of them on filming together. Adding a behind-the-scenes group shot from the same day, Porsha wrote, “She’s Baccccck!” In a third tease, the Go Naked Hair founder also posted a video of her, Nene, and Phaedra Parks having some fun together on set.
Nene Leakes reacts to her Bravo return and RHUGT Season 6 appearance
Around the same time, Nene also shared her own candid take on returning to Bravo for RHUGT. “This has been a really long, long journey, and gosh, I’m happy, overjoyed to say that I will be returning to Bravo,” Nene announced in a Jan. 14 Instagram video. “I almost can’t believe the words that are coming out of my mouth. I’m so happy.”
The RHOA OG went on to share that she was “excited” to see all the girls, before promising that her comeback was “going to be a time.” As Nene concluded the clip, “Now pick your faces off the floor, OK?! See you on Bravo. Love you.”
