Chelsea Crompton Is Being Charged With The Murder Of Hazel Lidey- Madison County Home

The incident in their Vale, Madison County home is currently under investigation.

Everyone is left shocked by the murder of a little girl that no one had expected to happen.

The alleged woman is set to appear in court on Monday, after which new findings will likely be out.

Hazel Lidey, Four-Year-Old Girl Killed by Father Girlfriend Chelsea Crompton – Arrest And Charge

Hazel Lidey, a four-year-old girl, was allegedly killed by her Father’s girlfriend. The North Carolina woman named Chelsea Lee Crompton is accused of murder.

The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that they arrested Crompton. They had previously revealed that they found victim Hazel covered in bruises and that she succumbed to her wounds after several days at a hospital on Brown, the county sheriff, stated that “the mindless violence that resulted in Hazel’s murder has horrified our communities.” According to Brown, the county grieves the loss of the kid alongside the Lidey family. Justice for Hazel, he further stated.

Per the Sheriff’s Office, EMS and deputies responded on November 17 at approximately 2:12 in the afternoon to a Hill Haven Drive home in the community of Vale regarding a report of a four-year-old girl unresponsive.

They stated that the child was transported to an area hospital after having suffered trauma-related injuries and bruises all over her body. She remained there until taking her last breath on early Sunday morning (November 20, 2022)

They also mentioned that the Criminal Investigations Division had investigated the matter. They were awaiting a report from the medical examiner.

The Office noted the suspicion of foul play. Even though authorities were called about an overdose, they discovered something else however, they could only release a little information since the case is in its initial phase.

Who Was Hazel Lidey? Death And Obituary

Hazel Lidey was a four-year-old girl living with her Father in Vale, North CarolinaAccording to her obituary, her full name was Hazel “Bugg” Renee Lidey, and she was born to her parents, Christopher and Samantha Lidey. She was born in Catawba County on September 10, 2018, making her four years old at death.

It also mentions that she had a brother, Mason E. Lidey, and a sister, Alaina N. Lidey. Likewise, her paternal grandparents are Terry and Cindy Lidey, and her maternal grandparents are Clyde and Mary Jackson.A gathering of family and friends is planned for Friday, November 25, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home.

We do not know where her mother is, how the accused, Chelsea Lee Crompton, met her dad, or how her relationship with Crompton was. More information will likely be out soon.

A close family friend, Melissa Caudle, said about Hazel, “She was like a breath of fresh air.” “a lovely child. She was simply joyful. I fail to see how someone could harm her.”

Chelsea Crompton Lee and the girl’s Father were at home when authorities visited the residence.

According to county deputies, Crompton, Lidey’s father’s girlfriend, was taken into custody without incident at a family member’s Madison County home and is currently being held in the Catawba County Detention Facility.Investigators now claim Crompton was responsible and have taken her into custody. She is held without bond, and her first appearance is scheduled for Monday (November 28) in Catawba County District Court.
