During the episode, Gia moved into her new apartment in New Jersey without the help of her dad. Although she was able to FaceTime him while she moved out of her mom, Teresa Giudice’s, New Jersey house, she admitted in a confessional that she hated that he missed this milestone in her life. “It’s just times like this where I miss my dad so much,” she explained in a confessional.

She continued, opening up about his deportation. “In 2015, my dad served three-and-a-half years in federal prison. My parents got indicted for not filing tax returns from 2004 to 2008. And because he was not an American citizen, my dad was deported in 2019 to Italy. After moving to Italy, he moved to the Bahamas,” Gia noted. “He can’t come back to the U.S. unless he’s pardoned, and we’ve made plenty of efforts to try to get him back to the States one day.”

Gia Giudice shares an update on her dad Joe Giudice’s deportation

Gia appeared on Good Day New York in August 2026, where she opened up about her efforts to get her dad back into the US. “We just filed a humanitarian packet for him, just kind of trying to do everything we can to get him pardoned and hopefully come back or even just on visitation,” she said in a clip posted to YouTube. “We’re still trying to do that and trying to do everything we can. I mean, I think any family would want their dad home.”

Is Joe Giudice still living in Italy?

No, Joe Giudice is still not living in Italy. “Juicy Joe,” as Teresa used to refer to him, is currently living in the Bahamas, which is a short flight away from his friends and family members living in the United States. Joe opened up about his decision to move to the Bahamas during a Jan. 2025 appearance on Teresa’s podcast.

“You grow up someplace, you get used to everything. I mean, that’s why I adapt[ed] here in the Bahamas, Nassau, because it’s kind of like Americanized, and I always see American people here. So, I kind of feel like I’m close to home,” he explained during the episode. “When I was in Italy, it wasn’t really the same. It was nice, but it just felt far. Like, here, it’s close. It’s only two-and-a-half hours away, and I guess because everybody comes and visits me, I don’t feel like I’m too far.”

Where is Joe Giudice now?

Gia shared a current update on Joe, who is still living in the Bahamas today, during her appearance on Good Day New York. “He’s doing great. I’m actually going to see him on Tuesday,” she said.

Joe currently has his own business in the Bahamas, giving tours of the islands to visitors. He is also so active on Instagram, sharing updates on his life and his business on the social media platform. His daughters are also frequently in the Bahamas to visit him and share those moments on social media.

Who is Joe Giudice’s girlfriend?

Joe is dating following his 2020 divorce from Teresa. Teresa shared a major update on his love life in November at BravoCon 2025. “We still talk now, but he lives in the Bahamas, and I live in Jersey, so I wish him well. And he’s dating a lawyer, so I’m happy for him,” she stated.

During an August 2025 appearance on Gia’s podcast, Casual Chaos, Joe confirmed that he was dating a woman named Margie, who Gia and her three sisters “love.” “Margie’s amazing,” Gia said during the episode, at the time.
