Florida man allegedly threw feces, threatened man with a scooter amid neighborhood feud over dog poop

LEESBURG, Fla. (TCN) — A 35-year-old man has been charged with multiple counts in connection with a neighborhood feud over dog feces.

According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Law & Crime, police responded to a home on Aug. 7 after Trey Decloedt’s neighbors dialed 911. The couple, whose names have not been released, alleged that they and Decloedt had had an “ongoing feud” related to dog feces being left on their driveway. That day, the couple alleged Decloedt entered their home without permission.

According to the affidavit, Decloedt allegedly had dog feces in his hand and began yelling at the couple before allegedly throwing the feces. A physical fight between Decloedt and the husband began and Decloedt allegedly punched the man and threatened him with a child’s metal scooter.

According to bodycam footage obtained by ClickOrlando, Decloedt claimed his neighbors were not cleaning up after their dogs. He allegedly said, “I’ve complained about the dogs sh—ing in my yard. I said something to his old lady about it. She said she would pick it up. Four hours later, it was still there. I set it on the edge of the driveway right there.”

ClickOrlando reports Decloedt also alleged he and the neighbors had an agreement that they could enter each other’s homes. When deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office spoke to the victims, they reportedly shared a recording in which Decloedt was allegedly told he was not welcome in their home.

According to Law & Crime, Decloedt was charged with aggravated battery, burglary with assault or battery, and simple battery. He posted $16,000 bond on Aug. 9 and is scheduled to make a court appearance on Aug. 31.
