Kristen Doute is opening up about her daughter’s recent emergency room visit. The Valley cast member revealed earlier this week that her and Luke Broderick’s 14-month-old daughter, Kaia Lily Broderick, had been to the ER at the hospital twice.

Kristen took to her Instagram Story earlier this week, according to PEOPLE, where she revealed that she brought Kaia to the ER after the little one had a high fever. Kristen posted a photo of her daughter, fast asleep with a pacifier in her mouth, before detailing what went on.
“Little angel had a super high temp last night and we took her to the ER,” she wrote in the Instagram Story at the time. “This is the scariest part of being a mama.”
Kristen then returned to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, Aug. 18, where she revealed that Kaia had to go back to the hospital. “Another day, another ER visit. Poor little thing has a UTI,” she wrote over a selfie of her at the hospital. “Glad we trusted our gut and went.”

Where do Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick stand today?
Kristen and Luke had been open about trying to find the footing in their relationship during The Valley Season 3 after welcoming Kaia in June 2025. The couple opened up about where they stand today during Part 2 of The Valley Season 3 reunion, with Luke admitting that “things have improved” in their relationship.
Kristen admitted that a lot of their relationship issues stemmed from what she was going through after giving birth. “What I learned later, too, is that, like, there was a lot of postpartum depression and rage. And rage wasn’t something I was familiar with,” she explained.
Kristen further revealed that she and Luke are not attending couple’s counseling together. “If during couple’s therapy, we’re not getting things resolved and were just fighting, there are things we have to resolve outside of it,” she noted. “So, it’ll be like Luke kind of doing his thing, while I do mine, and then we can come back together and try again.”
In a recent interview with Bravo Insider, Luke gave an update on parenting Kaia with Kristen, joking about Kirsten’s dynamic with the little one. “She’s such an amazing, beautiful little girl. She’s about to walk. She is just the happy coos and fake cries. She’s really good at manipulating Kristen already, we’ll put it that way,” he shared. “She has good fake cries.”
