Greenville, South Carolina – Police officers were spotted at the home of Brian Hickerson’s family in South Carolina just days after his on-and-off girlfriend, Hayden Panettiere, passed away.
Per Page Six, law enforcement arrived at the home on Wednesday morning to conduct a welfare check, though it has not been confirmed who the check was for.
The outlet said that Brian’s brother, Zach, was home at the time, but no one opened the door for the police. The officers left and said to have to come back an hour and a half later to conduct the welfare check.
Recent reports from TMZ have alleged that both Brian and Zach were in the Greenville rental apartment where Hayden was found unresponsive on Sunday.

The outlet claimed Zach was the one to discover the Heroes star in a living room chair and called 911.
So far, the 36-year-old’s cause of death has not been confirmed, though 911 dispatch audio revealed that first responders spoke of a “cardiac arrest” and a possible overdose.
Insiders have revealed that Hayden and Brian had secretly rekindled their romance, but the Scream 4 star’s team advised her to keep it out of the public eye, as the 37-year-old had previously been arrested for assaulting Hayden.
In her first comments on Hayden’s shocking death, her estranged mother, Lesley Vogel, revealed that Brian was someone the family had “been trying to get rid of for quite some time”.
“There is a lot of history in the past that Brian has enabled Hayden many times, and this is why her father and I had been concerned for a long time about him,” Lesley added.
Hayden had previously been in a relationship with former Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko, and the two welcomed a daughter in 2014.
Wladimir, who held full custody of their daughter, said in an emotional tribute, “She built an incredible career through immense talent, while also facing the darker sides of a very demanding industry. Nothing will erase the times we shared or the place she had in our lives.”
