Danielle Olivera and Eoin Heavey have finally brought their son home from the NICU. The In The City couple welcomed their son, Aidan Santos Heavey, into the world on June 21, 10 weeks before his due date, resulting in an extended stay in the hospital. But, Aidan finally “graduated” from the NICU on Aug. 23, and the couple couldn’t be happier.Â
Danielle took to Instagram on Monday, Aug. 24, where she posted several photos of Aidan in the hospital wearing his adorable going-home outfit, paying tribute to Eoin’s Irish heritage, as they held their baby boy. She also posted a photo of Aidan wearing a graduation cap, showing how he was “ready to move in” with them after spending 63 days in the hospital, away from home.
“Yesterday, Aidan graduated from the NICU after 63 days! He’s finally home,” Danielle wrote in the caption of the post, thanking the team at Stony Brook Hospital for their care. “We love you Stony Brook, thank you so much for everything.”
Danielle’s friends from In The City then took to the comments of the post to show their support for Aidan’s homecoming. “Oh yay!!” Whitney Fransway wrote.
“Homebound! He’s ready to go,” Andrea Denver added. “Congratulations guys.”

Prior to his graduation, the new parents were finding ways to celebrate milestones in the hospital. Aidan was able to celebrate Eoin’s birthday from the NICU on Aug. 16. Danielle took to Instagram on that day, where she posted a video of Aidan wearing a “Happy Birthday Daddy” onesie in the NICU, which was decorated with a birthday banner and photos of Eoin and Aidan. “A birthday surprise in the NICU for [Eoin]. Only made possible with the help of our wonderful nurses – they did such an amazing job!” she wrote in the caption of the post.
Danielle also penned a separate post for her boyfriend, taking to Instagram to share a new look inside their relationship. “Happy 40th Birthday to my love, my partner, my bp, and the best dad to Aidan I could’ve ever dreamed of,” she wrote in the caption of the post. “We are so lucky and love you so much.”

Over the past 63 days, Danielle had taken to Instagram to share updates on Aidan while he was spending time in the NICU. Days after Aidan took his first bath, Danielle revealed that Aidan was in love with “bath time and post bath time cuddles.”
Danielle also took to her Instagram Story throughout the month of July, where she posted so many photos of Aidan taking his first bath, cuddling with “his twin” Eoin, and fast asleep in his swaddle. “Settling into his look as an old Irish man at the pub,” she wrote over the photo.
