Los Angeles, California – Country music artist Jelly Roll recently criticized President Donald Trump in a shocking move while guest hosting comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show.
On Monday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the musician delivered a scathing monologue, mocking the president on a range of topics.
He began by playing a video of Trump at his Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, DC, on Sunday as he prepared to wave a green flag to kick off the event.
Jelly Roll – whose real name is Jason DeFord – mocked the president, suggesting Trump looked as though he “never held a flag before.”

“How do you f**k up waving a flag?” he asked with a laugh.
He then referred to recent reports that doctors have been concerned about the 80-year-old president’s rapid weight gain.
“It’s crazy. Think about this, y’all. In the last few years I’ve lost 300 pounds. That means I’ve lost an entire Donald Trump,” he joked.
“And let’s be honest… based on his approval ratings, it seems like most of the country wants to do the same thing.”
Finally, the Liar singer lamented that the country shouldn’t joke about Trump’s weight – but then played a montage of the president doing just that to other people.
“Well, if that ain’t the pot calling the kettle fat,” Jelly Roll said. “Mr. President, from one fat pig to another, take it from me that physical fitness is very important. And trust me, you’ll be happy to see your penis again.”
The monologue came as a shock to fans, as Jelly Roll has typically shied away from engaging in politics. He did face some backlash after he met the president at an event in 2024, which he later described as “cool” and said he didn’t care about “blowback” for it.
But the artist previously made it clear that he is apolitical.
Months before his meeting with Trump, he spoke at a Senate hearing about the fentanyl crisis, during which he said he was neither Democrat nor Republican, noted he had been stripped of the right to vote due to past legal troubles, and revealed he has “never paid attention to a political race in my life.”
MAGA fans on social media have been aggressively calling for Jelly Roll to be canceled, claiming he has gone “woke” for criticizing Trump.
