Ariana Biermann is revealing how money played a role in the end of her and Hudson McLeroy’s relationship. After breaking up with each other at the beginning of Next Gen NYC Season 2, the exes took to the Next Gen NYC After Show to share more details about their split.
“When Hudson and I decided to move out [to New York], I literally had, I think like, $200 to my name, genuinely,” Ariana explained during the Next Gen NYC After Show Season 2, Episode 8. “Obviously, we know my parents took all my money. I never got a dollar.”
However, after appearing on Next Gen NYC Season 1, Ariana admitted she had a lot more money to her name, which she suspected contributed to her and Hudson’s split. “He was so happy for me. It did get to a point though where it was kind of like, ‘You’re bringing in more money than I’m bringing in right now. I’m not used to that,'” she continued, as seen in the clip above.
“I definitely think that was a struggle for him at some point, whether he would specifically say it out loud or not,” Ariana noted. “It wasn’t like he was trying to tear me down or whatever. You just like, you know, he didn’t come to an event with me, which really hurt my feelings a lot, because I was getting paid money and he wasn’t. But he was always really happy for me.”

Hudson also appeared on the Next Gen NYC After Show episode, where he revealed that he would take care of things in his relationship with Ariana, in spite of her insistence for him not to. “I don’t let Ariana pay for anything,” the entrepreneur stated. “I mean, Ariana tried to pay for everything when we were together, so it was like, her constantly pulling out her card and like, trying to pay the bill before I could.”
Ariana elaborated on this. “I only got a salad for six months on our dates when we would go on dates,” she revealed. “And he was like, ‘Are you ever gonna eat more?’ And I was always like, ‘No.’ Because I always wanted to pay my portion. It wasn’t our first date, he didn’t have to split the bill.”
