Steven McBee Jr. is sharing new details about his dad Steve McBee Sr.’s relationship with Masha Petrova. The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys cast member’s dad is currently finishing his sentence in federal prison in Yankton, South Dakota, but he has been keeping in touch with Masha while he’s been away.
Steven appeared on the podcast, Roxanne and Shantel, on Aug. 24, where he opened up about his dad and Masha’s relationship. “So get this. Here’s the latest tea. So my dad is up in Yankton. Of course, my mom went and visited him with me last weekend. We drove up there just to give him a state of the business. Like, it was more of a serious conversation of some things that were happening. And at the check-in sheet, we’re looking at the names from the last week and just happened to be looking… it wasn’t like we were actively looking for this, but just signing in. And we see Masha’s name from 8:30 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon for the weekend before,” he explained.
He continued, noting that Steve Sr. made a confession about his relationship with Masha to his younger brothers, Cole McBee and Jesse McBee, when they went to visit him. “He’s like, ‘Yeah, Masha and I, we’ve emailed a couple of times last month, but haven’t really talked about it. She was here the weekend before.’ He tries to act like a tough guy, like he’s this Mr. Independent, and he’s not. I don’t know why he doesn’t just admit it,” Steven Jr. noted.
“He is someone that wants a woman in his life, and he tries to come off like he could just live his life with him and his dog, Gunner, and it’s like, no. Go a week without having Masha up,” he added.

Steven Jr. continued, admitting that he hasn’t formed any thoughts about Steve Sr.’s relationship with Masha. “I don’t really know what to think about it because, with all due credit to Masha, I feel like my dad tells her different things than from what he tells us,” he explained.
“I feel like Masha is being told things by my dad like ‘I love you.’ So he’s telling her different things than what he’s telling us,” he continued. “And that is my dad, to a tee.”

Are Steve McBee Sr. and Masha Petrova still together?
Steve Sr. and Masha are still together. The couple was together during the filming of The McBee Dynasty in 2025, and Masha still visits him in prison. Cole’s wife, Kacie Adkison, spoke with Decider in June, where she shared what she knows about Masha and Steve Sr.’s relationship. “She is still with Cole’s dad from what we know,” she stated.
