Malia White has been settling into motherhood since welcoming her first baby girl back in early 2026. And along the way, she’s had all kinds of new experiences as a new parent. Case in point: when the Below Deck Mediterranean alum revealed that she’s sporting an eye patch for a very specific reason that we’re sure other moms can relate to out there. Besides the eye injury, however, Malia has made it clear that she is thriving in motherhood and living her “best life.”
First up, in an Instagram Stories post in late August, Malia shared a photo of herself in an eyepatch, explaining that she had gotten a scratch from her baby’s fingers. “Baby Fingers: 1 Eyeball: 0,” she wrote. “At least I look like a pirate now!”
She went on to add in the comments, “Don’t worry, just a scratch! Will heal…” For what it’s worth, days later, Malia returned to Instagram and was no longer wearing her eye patch as she revealed in a sweet moment with her baby, in which the tot was playing with her nose.Â

Inside Malia White’s life as a mom to her baby daughter
Malia has been keeping busy traveling with her baby daughter and her partner, Robert. In fact, she’s been documenting their busy life all over the globe on Instagram this summer, including stops in France where Malia declared “Living My Best Life”, Italy for her baby’s “first Italian summer” (where the tot also earned the adorable nickname “Little Patatina,” aka “Little Potato”), and boat days closer to home in England. Â On another trip with baby and Tom, Malia noted, “Packing for two different climates.”
Malia White teases what’s next for her and boyfriend, Robert, as new parents
Malia chatted with Bravo Insider back in February 2026, shortly after giving birth, where she chatted about what could be next for her and Robert. Don’t expect Save the Date cards anytime soon, as Malia noted that they aren’t in a hurry to get married. “Don’t worry. My mom asks that question all the time. You’re not alone,” she joked, adding, “I mean, it is something we’ve touched. We’re each other’s person, for sure. There’s no doubt there. But it’s, like, we’re not fussed about getting married, you know?”
Regardless, travel has always been in the plans for this family, as she revealed at the time. “You know, obviously this baby’s being raised by two yachties who love to travel. It’s probably not gonna be the most conventional, traditional way of raising your kids,” she said. “So that’ll be exciting and fun and adventurous.”
