Teddi Mellencamp is sharing updates on her health amid her battle with cancer. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and is continuing to undergo immunotherapy treatments to treat it.
The mom of three appeared on Extra earlier this week, where she confirmed that she is “cancer-free for right now” but is “not allowed to say” that she is “in remission.”
However, she admitted that every day is different for her when it comes to her health. “You know, some days I feel great, and some days I feel very low. And I think that’s one thing I didn’t really realize,” she said. “People think like once you get through radiation and then you’re on to either their chemotherapy or their immunotherapy, then, like, you’re healed. And you’re like, ‘No, I’m still in the midst of it.'”

Teddi Mellencamp reveals what she’s learned amid her cancer journey
Teddi continued, telling the outlet that she has learned so much from her cancer journey, especially when it comes to parenting her three kids with her ex-husband, Edwin Arroyave. “I think the biggest thing it’s taught me is like I’ve always, whether it has shown or not, been a perfectionist and wanted everything to be right all the time. And I can’t live that way anymore,” she stated.
“I’m like, ‘If you need to get in touch with me, you can text me.’ I don’t check my emails. I don’t know how to do…like, this is the new me,” she said. “And same goes with my kids, I used to be like, ‘We have to be on schedule 24/7 and like we have gymnastics…’ And now I’m like, ‘Alright, guys. This is what we’re gonna do.'”

The Two T’s in a Pod podcast host briefly dished on her relationship with PJ in her interview with Extra. “PJ’s great. He’s really fun,” she admitted. “It’s like one of those things where I’m able to look forward to something to do after 4 p.m., which is difficult for me.”
“Things are going pretty well. I don’t have any complaints,” she continued. “On the days that are hard, I remember that the next day is going to get a little better. And this is just a reminder to everybody: go get your skin checked.”
