MIAMI (TCN) — A 50-year-old woman is behind bars after police allege she threw a bucket of feces on her neighbor.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by WFLA, Yirsi Machado Rivera believed her neighbor was sleeping with her husband. The couple and the victim live in separate areas of a split trailer, and on Sept. 7, Machado Rivera allegedly went over to the victim’s side and accused the woman of having a relationship with her husband. The argument became physical and culminated with Machado Rivera allegedly throwing a bucket of feces on the woman.
According to the affidavit, “The defendant stated to the witness that she pooped in a bucket to throw in the victim’s face.”
During her interview with authorities, Machado Rivera denied the allegations and stated that she had been arguing with the neighbor because of a broken toilet and the issues it was causing, WFLA reports. She claimed that the bucket of feces was due to the broken toilet, and she alleged the victim hit her in the head with a bat.
Following an investigation, Machado Rivera was arrested and charged with battery and burglary of an occupied dwelling on Sept. 7, per WFLA. People reports she was booked into jail the following day and appeared in court Sept. 9 for a bond hearing.
Miami-Dade County Circuit Court Judge Mindy Glazer ordered Machado Rivera held without bond, according to People.
