A Wisconsin woman allegedly ran over her boyfriend after they had an argument about their relationship.
Adasia Jones, 22, was charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle after police said she killed her boyfriend, 26-year-old Darius Allen, on Sunday. In a Facebook post, the Racine Police Department said officers responded to Allen’s home in Racine, Wisconsin, after receiving reports of a “vehicle vs. pedestrian accident with injuries.” When they arrived, Allen was in the middle of the street and “not moving.” Jones had initially left the scene before apparently returning to check on Allen.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by the Racine County Eye, a local news outlet, Jones admitted to police that she was drunk.

In the complaint, which was also obtained by local NBC affiliate WTMJ, police said Jones told them that she went to Allen’s home after midnight on Sunday to discuss “issues” in their relationship. She told police that their argument escalated into a physical altercation, and Allen allegedly choked her. Jones said that after she got in her car to drive away, Allen jumped on the hood and refused to get off. She started driving anyway and he fell off the car.
Jones told police she drove a short distance before she looked behind her to check on him. She then said she did not see him in the road when she continued to drive and allegedly hit him with her car. According to the complaint, she said she believed she was driving about 10 to 15 miles per hour at the time of the collision.
Responding officers reported that Jones showed several signs of intoxication and allegedly said, “Ima be real, I’m drunk because he kept me up all night.” Jones allegedly admitted to drinking two shots of vodka hours before she got behind the wheel.
Police spoke to Allen’s brother, who was at the scene, and said he saw Allen fall from the hood of Jones’ car and into the street. He told police that he believed Jones accelerated toward his brother.
Allen succumbed to his injuries at the hospital hours later.
Jones was booked into the Racine County Jail, where she was given a $15,000 bond. According to court records, Jones will have to remain on house arrest with GPS monitoring if she is released. Her next court date is scheduled for Oct. 1.
