Steve McBee Sr. is opening up about his career and sharing a look inside his home office after his time in prison. The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys patriarch returned to his farm in Gallatin, Missouri, after finishing his prison sentence on Sept. 11, 2026, and is getting settled into his life back on the farm today.
Steve Sr. took to Instagram on Sept. 20, where he filmed a video inside his home office, which was renovated during his time away. “So I thought I’d just show you guys my new office. I’m just so fortunate and blessed to have the people in my life that I do. My family set this up as a surprise when I was obviously away: all new furniture, redid everything. There wasn’t even an office in here; put a coffee bar in, and I’ll show you guys. Really just turned out fantastic,” he said, before revealing that he’s been able to take his Zoom calls from there. “I’ve used it so much, it’s incredible. I love it, I love it.”
“I am absolutely loving my new office at the lodge — it turned out amazing and it’s a great place to work from home,” he wrote in the caption of the post. “So appreciative of my family and friends who have supported me and never wavered through this challenging journey I’ve been on. I’m a lucky man.”

Steven McBee Jr. shares a look at Steve McBee Sr.’s office
Steve Sr.’s oldest son, Steven McBee Jr., took to his Instagram Story in early September, where he shared a look inside the office. Steven Jr. revealed that he had completely renovated Steve Sr.’s office ahead of his return home from prison, showing off the big wooden desk, book cases, new chairs, and nature-themed decor.
“Dad gets home Friday, so we’ve been busting it every evening and the last few weekends renovating and updating his lodge. New home office,” he wrote in the caption of the post, along with a green check mark emoji.

Business for the McBees is resuming and getting back to normal following Steve Sr.’s return home from prison. Steven Jr. appeared on the podcast, Roxanne and Shantel, on Aug. 24, where he admitted that he was eager to see the “light” in the businesses with Steve Sr. returning home from prison. “We are wrapping up some of the last few really tough conversations and tough problems that we needed to solve,” he said during the episode. “And the next six to eight months, it feels like we’re finally getting everything like wrapped up, buttoned up, and we can start moving forward with our life and looking to the future, not solving problems from the past.”
