A Wisconsin man who remains hospitalized after allegedly opening fire on police has been charged with killing another man after a bar fight.
Adam Threlkeld, 45, was charged with seven felonies, including first-degree intentional homicide, in connection with a shootout at a bar in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Sept. 20. According to a criminal complaint obtained by local NBC affiliate WTMJ, surveillance video captured Threlkeld arguing with 33-year-old Antero “Casper” Medina at Shenanigans bar at 8:22 p.m. Medina walked away to call his girlfriend, asking her to hurry over to pick him up.
When Medina went back inside, Threlkeld allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Medina in the chest.

Medina died at the scene. According to reporting on the complaint by local ABC affiliate WISN, Threlkeld was allegedly trying to sell Medina marijuana.
Officers from the Kenosha Police Department arrived at the bar minutes later, and Threlkeld allegedly fired 15 shots at the police. At a news conference, Kenosha Police Chief Patrick Patton Larsen described the latter shooting as an ambush. No officers were injured in the shootout.
Threlkeld was shot by police and remains hospitalized. According to the complaint, Threlkeld said while being treated at the hospital: “I didn’t want to hurt anybody, only the [expletive] who deserved to die.”
Prosecutors said Threlkeld said, “I hope he dies,” referring to Medina. “I had to teach him a lesson.” He added, “He told me I was a [expletive] and wasn’t going to shoot him. I’m from Milwaukee, not Kenosha. We don’t play games. I should have never got off in this town.”
Threlkeld was charged in Kenosha County with first-degree intentional homicide, two counts of recklessly endangering safety, two counts of attempted first-degree homicide, possession of a firearm by a felon, and bail jumping. He is also charged with battery or threat to a judge, prosecutor, or law enforcement officer in Milwaukee County, a case that remains open.
Threlkeld is due back in court Oct. 2.
