London, UK – After former royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on his 66th birthday back in February, he is taking legal action against UK authorities!

As the Telegraph reported, the younger brother of King Charles III has already initiated legal action against Thames Valley Police, seeking to investigate whether both his arrest and the search of his property were lawful.
According to the report, a High Court judge approved the relevant application, and a private hearing is slated to take place on Thursday.
The hearing will determine whether the legal documents related to the review can be made public.

An insider told the outlet that he was also surprised by the former prince’s arrest and questioned why authorities did not first ask Andrew for an interview at the police station.
In February, the 66‑year‑old was arrested at his estate in Sandringham, England, over the suspected abuse of office.
Andrew is also accused of passing confidential commercial documents to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

While Andrew was in police custody, officers also searched his estate and his former residence, the Royal Lodge in Berkshire.
Following the arrest, King Charles issued a statement: “What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.
“In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.”
If Andrew is convicted, he could face a life sentence as the maximum penalty.
He denies the allegations, although he was indeed friends with Epstein – a connection that led Charles to strip his royal titles.
