Ariana Biermann and Liam Obergfoll are in a good place after Next Gen NYC Season 2. Although the two of them had a romance during the season, which fizzled out by the Next Gen NYC Season 2 reunion, there is no ill will between them as they navigate a friendship.
The NYC residents walked the red carpet together at Page Six‘s Virtual Reali-Tea Awards on Tuesday, Oct. 6, where Ariana admitted that she “loves” when people ship her and Liam together. “Liam’s an incredible guy, and I’ve always said that, so it’s been awesome,” she said in a clip posted to Instagram when speaking to Page Six. At the event, Ariana further clarified to the outlet what exactly is going on between them today, saying, “We are not dating.”
However, Liam also doesn’t mind that Next Gen NYC viewers want them to be together. “I love the support,” Liam said. “I’m a fan. I’m a fan of her, so.”
Later on in the evening, after Ariana won the Breakout Star Award, Liam was interviewed mid-award show by the show’s hosts. While they asked Liam if this was a “date night” for them, he avoided the topic. “We’re here to celebrate the reality world and everyone that is fantastic in the world, right?” Liam said in a clip posted to TikTok.
Liam Obergfoll admits the door is “open” for romance with Ariana Biermann
Liam had previously said that he will always have a thing for Ariana. During Part 2 of the Next Gen NYC Season 2 reunion, Andy Cohen asked Liam if the door was open to a potential romance in the future between the two of them. “I mean, it’s open for me,” he said.
“I always have feelings for you, girl,” he told Ariana, in an aside.

Ariana said during Part 2 of the Next Gen NYC Season 2 reunion that she is enjoying being single after hooking up with Next Gen NYC cast member Charlie Zakkour, and her romance with Liam fizzled out. “I am in a journey of figuring out me and my life and what’s going on,” she said.

Liam Obergfoll and Ariana Biermann reveal what attracted them to each other
Both Ariana and Liam were open during Part 2 of the Next Gen NYC Season 2 reunion about what drew them to each other. Liam admitted that he was drawn to Ariana after first meeting her at a party early on in the season. “I thought she was gorgeous, and once I finally got to talk to her, I was definitely intrigued,” he said.
Ariana also admitted to Andy during Part 2 of the reunion that she was drawn to Liam’s kind disposition. “I think that what attracted me was the amount of things that he wanted to do, and like, the amount of passions that he had,” she said. “And he seemed like a really honest person and made me laugh, right off the bat.”
