Austin, Texas – Billionaire Elon Musk recently pointed the finger at President Donald Trump after restrictions put forth by the leader’s administration caused a SpaceX service to go dark in Ukraine at the worst moment.

According to Fox News, forces in Ukraine fighting back against Russia’s unlawful invasion were sent into panic mode after discovering Starshield – a SpaceX service that helps intercept Russian attack drones – was experiencing connectivity problems.
After reaching out to SpaceX customer support, they were told that a newly implemented restriction has stopped the service on platforms traveling at 100 miles per hour or faster.
In an X post on Wednesday, Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, said the restriction had been lifted, noting that doing so was “critical for Ukraine’s defense.”

In response, Musk shifted the blame to the US – namely, the Trump administration – by pointing out that the federal government owns and controls the service.
“Any limits on speed or usage are decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS,” Musk wrote.
Musk’s remarks come as the conflict has been escalating in recent days. Last week, Trump further exacerbated the situation by striking a controversial diesel deal with Russia.
They also come after the two men appeared to have fixed their once-fractured relationship, as the president recently awarded Musk with the Science Award, and the Tesla CEO has donated millions to help Republicans in the midterms.
