Nashville, Tennessee – Taylor Swift has added another historical achievement to her illustrious music career, as the pop star is now the youngest-ever inductee in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The 36-year-old singer returned to Music City on Monday night to formally receive the honor at the Hall of Fame’s 56th anniversary gala.
Swift stunned in a chic, velvet dress from Raisa Vanessa that featured a floral print. She completed the look with purple heels and a diamond necklace, keeping her shorter hair in a bouncy bob.
In her speech, the Grammy winner credited the Nashville music community for providing “the fundamentals and the foundation” of her career.

“It’s not lost on me how crazy this is, and I will cherish it forever because Nashville is the place that honed and polished this thing about myself and the thing about my life that I am the most proud of and the most passionate about,” she said, per fan footage.
Swift was presented with the honor by Brad Paisley, whose tour she opened for when she was just 17. As she quipped on stage, the Karma singer has been “estranged” from Paisley after he took a prank “too far” by filling her tour bus with thousands of crickets.
Alas, she said they’d now agreed to “let bygones be bygones,” and the rest was history!
The honor comes at a special time for Swift, as she just celebrated the 20th anniversary of her self-titled debut album.
The album that launched Swift’s career stood firmly in the country genre, and while she’s certainly evolved away from that over the years, it looks like she’ll always find her way back home!
