Los Angeles, California – At first, he thought it was a prank! Noah Wyle could hardly believe his selection as this year’s Sexiest Man Alive, as he admitted to People magazine.
“I thought that sounded like a prank – just not in a million years did I think that this would be an honor bestowed on me,” Wyle said in his cover story published Tuesday.
But his wife, Sara, was able to convince him. She believes that, as a father and husband, he deserves the honor!
“I thought, ‘Okay, if you say so,'” he recalled.

55-year-old Wyle first rose to fame as Dr. Carter in ER, where he starred alongside George Clooney. Today, he’s back in his emergency room scrubs as Dr. Robby on the acclaimed HBO Max drama The Pitt.
He has won two consecutive Emmys for the role, but at home, the dad of three always does the dishes and prepares breakfast for the family.
“This sink is my domain,” he joked. “And I would recommend more guys get into the dishwashing, because it’s very therapeutic.”
Much like him, Wyle’s 21-year-old daughter Auden could hardly believe his new title.
“I think she’s going to tease me about this for the next 50 years.”
