What To Know

  • Tom Brady accidentally swore during a Fox NFL Sunday trivia segment after incorrectly guessing Drew Brees instead of Peyton Manning.
  • The clip spread on social media, drawing both amusement and criticism from viewers.
  • It was Brady’s second on-air swearing incident, amid broader scrutiny of his broadcasting and minority ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Tom Brady has done it again. Just over a month after catching attention for accidentally swearing on live TV, the NFL legend let out another audible expletive during Sunday’s Fox NFL Sunday broadcast.

The latest slip-up occurred during a live trivia segment titled “Who’s in Third?” next to fellow quarterback-turned-analyst Drew Brees. As the duo tested their knowledge on all-time league achievements, Brady stumbled on the final question regarding career games with over 300 passing yards. Brady accidentally guessed Brees — who was already listed at No. 1 — and blurted out, “Drew Brees! Oh, s***!”

Brady suddenly realized his mistake live on air and briefly looked off-camera with wide eyes and raised hands before offering a sheepish “Ope.” The crew, including Brees and Peyton Manning (the correct answer), quickly laughed off the gaffe.

The moment quickly circulated across social media as fans and experts re-shared the clip. On a video shared on X by Ari Meirov, NFL insider for The 33rd Team, many users expressed their thoughts of the incident.

One fan commented underneath Meirov’s post, “Tom Brady can s**t wherever he wants. He earned it,” while another wrote, “F***ing hilarious – he is so funny – I love him – laughed my a** off when I heard it live – he cracked everyone up !!! Yes !!”

Another user wrote: “He’s so bad at being on tv it’s ridiculous,” while someone else wrote: “disgusting. i hope my kids don’t hear this.”

This marks Brady’s second public swearing incident since joining the Fox Sports broadcast booth. His first accidental on-air expletive happened back in Week 2, when he reacted live to a serious elbow injury sustained by Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Aside from live-mic slip-ups, Brady has faced a steady wave of scrutiny during his third season in the booth. As fans and analysts dissect everything from his unfiltered commentary and fan reactions to potential conflicts of interest regarding his minority ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders, the seven-time Super Bowl champion appears to remain unfazed.

Outside of football, Brady has also continued to capture mainstream attention amid headlines surrounding his personal life and dating drama with supermodels Candice Swanepoel and Joan Smalls.

Brady recently spoke to Sports Business Journal and brushed off the outside noise as clickbait.

“I just focus on what I need to do to be prepared,” Brady told the publication. “That’s what I did as a player, and I go out there every week as a broadcaster and try to do the same thing.”

Fox has not yet officially responded or released a public statement regarding Brady’s latest slip on air.
