WALTERBORO, S.C. (TCN) — A 43-year-old woman has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for fatally shooting her estranged husband’s female companion with a pink revolver.
According to the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, police received a report of an unresponsive woman at about 11:30 p.m. on April 28, 2025. When they arrived at the scene, they found Tineseing Lachell Johns outside her car with a gunshot wound under her arm. Her death was ruled a homicide.
The following day, Michelle Gladys Bingley turned herself in. During her interview, she said she was concerned her husband was being unfaithful and used his Google account to track his location. She said that when she located him in the victim’s vehicle, she “lost her mind” when he refused to get out, so she fired into the car with a pink revolver. She said, “I just did it to scare him.”
Bingley said she discarded the gun after fleeing the scene, according to the solicitor’s office. The gun was never found.
On Oct. 29, Bingley was found guilty of murder, domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, according to the solicitor’s office. She was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
