Sheriff Country

It’s all hands on deck in Edgewater for the police and first responders in a two-hour crossover thriller. The action begins on Sheriff Country when a prison break during a windstorm and wildfire leads to a hostage crisis, continuing on Fire Country (9/8c) when Bode (Max Thieriot) and the Station 42 crew assist in the dangerous manhunt. While the situation is tense, expect some levity when Sheriff Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin) and Battalion Chief Manny (Kevin Alejandro) relive the time her stepsister Sharon (Diane Farr) set them up on a disastrous date.

Salute to Service: A Veterans Day Celebration

The NFL’s Jason Kelce hosts the annual tribute to military men and women, joining fellow former football pro Alejandro Villanueva, an Army veteran and West Point grad, on a tour of the military academy. They experience a helicopter ride, a water obstacle course including a 25-foot drop, and an “ambush” by cadets. Musical guest Jon Batiste performs with the Six String Soldiers, and Kelce shows off his own musical gifts by playing sax with the U.S. Army Field Band. He also goes all in on athletic drills with the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment and gets a lesson in carrying the flag from the Continental Color Guard. Sounds like the perfect curtain-raiser for next Wednesday’s holiday.
