Ukrainian Fighter On Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora Card Enters Ring In Army Outfit
Denys Berinchyk made a powerful statement with the ring walk for his fight against Yvan Mendy on the Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora undercard. The Ukrainian walked out in a full Ukrainian army outfit while his country is still engaged in a brutal war with Russia.
Up to 13,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed since Russia invaded in February, according to estimates from the Ukrainian government as the war continues to intensify as Russia turns its attention to the town of Bakhmut in Donetsk.
Following his triumphant victory against Anthony Joshua in August, Usyk too paid tribute to his country in an emotional speech and took aim at Russian president Vladimir Putin.
Following Berinchyk vs Mendy, Daniel Dubois takes to the ring to defend his WBA (regular) heavyweight title for the first time against South Africa’s Kevin Lerena. The fight is expected to be wrapped before 9 pm in time for Fury and Chisora’s ring walks.
The featured attraction is permitted to start no sooner than 9:30 pm due to the restrictions put in place by the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium executives.
