In a weird Instagram post published on Friday, August 5, the actress said she had a heartbreaking saying. It was “not just my daughter’s birthday, but the end of my 9-year stint as Quinn on The Bold and the Beautiful,” she subsequently emphasized.
She acknowledged that this choice was tough for fans to hear and that she herself found it to be heartbreaking. She added, “I know it’s heartbreaking for some, and it’s for me as well, but it’s time for me to carry on with both my acting career and my pottery business.”

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Sofer claimed that her contract had ended in May and that she hadn’t heard anything about it until the final week of filming before the July break.
The actress alleges that they let her know that her character’s condition was uncertain but asked her to keep showing up on “a regular basis” as they tried to figure it out.
She told the source, “I just felt like I deserved more than just waiting around till they figured it out. If my option wasn’t established at that time, that kind of made it apparent, that they simply didn’t know what to do with Quinn.”
