In the 2011 Super Rugby season, Jantjies made his Super Rugby debut with the Lions, and in the first Rugby Championship, he made his international debut with the Springboks. He has also received a number of prestigious sports awards, including SARU Young Player of the Year (2010) and SA U20 Player of the Year (2010).
Jantjies’ agreement with NTT Communications Shining Arcs of Japan’s Top League was made public in June 2014.
