It is with great sadness that we report the news of the death of Catawba College Director of Sports Performance, Chase Tripp. Tripp was known for helping collegiate players get ready for the NFL Combine and Pro Days, as well as keeping an eye on the student athletes in the weight room to make sure they were performing their exercises properly. Who Was Chase Tripp?
Chase Tripp was a beloved member of the Catawba College staff and a well-known sports figure. Throughout his time at Catawba College, his passion for teaching young athletes proper form and technique was evident in his work with college teams. He took pride in ensuring that college athletes had all of the tools they needed to succeed at their respective levels. The Salisbury, North Carolina native graduated from East Coweta High School in 2009. In 2014, he earned a BS in Sports Management from the University of West Georgia. He worked with individual players on their strength training regimens to help them prepare for events such as the NFL Combine and Pro Days, in addition to assisting them in preparing for events such as the NFL Combine and Pro Days.
