It is with great sorrow that we share the news of the untimely passing of Jonathan Jelinski, 26, of Vacaville, California. He was a beloved baseball player and longtime member of the UCLA Bruins at The University of California, Los Angeles. Who Was Jonathan Jelinski?
Jonathan was an incredibly talented baseball player who had been part of the UCLA Bruins team since 2017. He quickly became a fan favorite due to his hustle and hard work ethic on the diamond. During his time at UCLA he helped lead the Bruins to three NCAA regional championships and one Pac-12 title. Off the field he was known for being an incredible teammate who always put others before himself. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and positive attitude towards life.

The exact cause of death has not been disclosed but it is known that Jonathan had suffered from some sort of heart condition prior to his passing. This sadly led to complications that he wasn’t able to recover from despite getting medical attention in time. Jonathan is survived by his loving parents; David & Linda Jelinski as well as two brothers (John & Michael). Jon was always such a positive individual that wanted the best for those around him and was inspiring when it came to setting his mind to something and getting it done.
