Janeecia Mason: Questions Surround Death of Teen Found Under Bridge a Week After Disappearing

Janeecia Mason’ A body discovered under a bridge in Texas on Thursday has been identified as a woman who vanished nearly a week earlier.

On Monday, the department identified the victim as Janeecia “Nene” Mason.

Police said her body was found on March 23 at about 9 a.m. She was found under a bridge at 350 Precinct Line Road.

“She was just thrown like she was nothing like she was nobody and she was somebody she was my baby,” Janeecia’s mom, Barbara Taylor, told WFAA.

Taylor said her daughter loved to do hair, makeup and nails, and graduated from high school last year. She was only 19 years old.

Taylor said her daughter will be laid to rest in Louisiana, where she was born.

“I loved Texas until…I feel like Texas, this place just swallowed up by baby,” she cried.

“My daughter just being laid out in Fort Worth? I mean someone knows something. I want to get closure.” Taylor said.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that Janeecia Mason, 19, was found deceased under a bridge in Hurst. Mason’s family said she was last seen in Dallas on March 17.

Details regarding Mason’s disappearance or how she died have not been disclosed.
