Florida Man Charged With Murder in Death of Estranged Wife, Mom of 4 Found Dead in His Storage Unit – Crime Online

Florida authorities are charging Cory Hill, whose estranged wife was found shot to death in his storage unit over the weekend, with first degree murder with a firearm.

“Detectives will continue building the case in order to bring Shakeira Rucker’s family the justice they seek,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement announcing the arrest warrant.

Hill is already behind bars on four counts of attempted murder after he fired at an ex-girlfriend and her family — on the same day that Rucker was reported missing, as CrimeOnline reported. Rucker, a 37-year-old mom of four, was last seen on November 11 at a Polk County restaurant with Hill. She was reported missing the next day, and Hill was arrested after opening fire on Angel Milligan and her family.

Milligan said she had dated Hill but broke up with him in September when she learned he was married to Rucker.

Orange County deputies responded to a self-storage unit in Apopka on Saturday for a report of a strong odor from one of the units. According to the arrest warrant, “The death was caused by the criminal act of Cory Hill,” WOFL reported.

“There was a premeditated killing of Shakeira Rucker with a firearm,” the warrant says. “Based on these findings there is probable cause to arrest Cory Hill on the charge of First Degree Murder with a Firearm.”

Hill was previously convicted of murder in 1993 and sentenced to 20 years in prison — a conviction Rucker’s family said they knew nothing about until after her disappearance.
