‘Endangered’ Disabled Air Forced Veteran Last Seen Disoriented at O’Hare Airport – Crime Online

Chicago police have issued a missing persons alert for a disabled Air Force veteran last seen Sunday.

According to the Chicago Police Department, 59-year-old Diane Huggins was discharged from Ascension Resurrection Hospital on Chicago’s Northwest Side Sunday morning at around 8:30 a.m. She later missed a flight to Cleveland, at O’Hare airport, after becoming disoriented.

Huggins received treatment at the airport and has not been seen since.

Police said Huggins has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, manic depression, and schizophrenia, Fox 32 reports, and uses a cane to walk. She is also almost completely deaf and communicates by reading others’ lips and with a hearing aid.

She’s known to visit military bases, but law enforcement suspects Huggins might be trying to get to Akron, Ohio, where her mother and sister reside.

Huggins is described as a Black female who stands 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Area Five detectives at 312-746-6554.

The story is developing. Check back for updates.
