OMAHA, Neb. (TCD) — Police arrested a 31-year-old woman on suspicion of shooting and killing her boyfriend and fleeing the house nearly naked.
On Friday, Dec. 29, at 5:10 p.m., Omaha Police Department officers responded to a potential home invasion call on North 55th Plaza and came in contact with 31-year-old Alyssa Roman.
Police went into the home and discovered 33-year-old Alan Critser deceased. Roman was subsequently arrested on charges of second-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
According to court documents cited by WOWT-TV, Roman was wearing only a shirt and no pants when police took her into custody. They transported her to a nearby hospital because she reportedly exhibited signs of “excited delirium.”
Officers reportedly located a shotgun with women’s clothing on top of it in one bedroom and Critser deceased in another. KETV-TV reports Critser sustained gunshot wounds to the neck and upper torso, which resulted in his head being “almost off the body.”
According to his obituary, Critser grew up in Indiana and served as an airman first class in the U.S. Air Force for several years until his honorable discharge in September 2014. He went to the University of Nebraska — Omaha for animal biology and enjoyed playing video games, cooking, and staying active.
Douglas County Jail records show Roman is being held without bond.
