Bride Killer Jamie Komoroski Gets $150,000 Bond – Crime Online

The woman accused in the drunk driving crash that killed a newlywed bride last year has been granted bond by a South Carolina judge.

Jamie Lee Komoroski, 26, has been held without bond since she was arrested after rear-ending a golf cart carrying newlyweds Samantha Miller and Aric Hutchinson and two others as they left their Folly Beach wedding reception on April 28, as CrimeOnline reported. Miller was killed in the crash and the other three were seriously injured.

Police said Komoroski was driving 65 miles per hour when she hit the golf cart, and a blood toxicology test showed her blood alcohol level to be three times the legal limit.

Judge Michael Nettles granted Komoroski a $150,000 bond Friday morning, WCSC reported. She will be placed on house arrest and cannot leave her home except for medical emergencies or court. She will also be required to wear a device that monitors her blood alcohol level. She must also surrender her passport, live in Charleston County, and not drive.

Nettles denied bond for Komoroski last August but said if the trial was not ready to go by March, she could have bond with multiple conditions, WCIV reported. She is charged with three counts of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury or death and one count of reckless homicide.

Hutchinson filed a wrongful death suit in May against Komoroski and several bars where she visited before the crash. Two of those bars and an insurance company have settled.
