Dismembered Body Parts — Including 2 Heads — Are Found Scattered Throughout Long Island Town – Crime Online

New York police have arrested multiple people in connection to body parts that were first discovered last week.

A man’s arms and a leg were discovered a mile from each other at Southards Park Pond in Long Island on February 29 — a day before a head and another arm were found in the same vicinity, as CrimeOnline reported. WNBC reported that the arm, the head, and partial right and left legs belong to a 59-year-old woman, while the arms belong to a 53-year-old man who investigators have tentatively identified.

According to the New York Post, officers eventually discovered a second severed head which belonged to the deceased man. Meanwhile, WCBS reported that the man’s tattooed arms had its fingertips removed.

Subsequent searches conducted on Tuesday in West Babylon and at Bethpage State Park reportedly uncovered more body parts, including a torso.

The woman, who has been identified, reportedly lived with the deceased man in Yonkers. WCBS reported that police searched an Amityville home on Monday, but human remains were not found.

Police have not publicly named the two victims. Though a motive remains unconfirmed, sources told WNBC that the slayings may involve a love triangle.

Police — who described the case as isolated — said gang activity is not suspected in the two deaths. They also revealed that they believe the remains were dumped shortly before their discovery.

Officials have not confirmed who was arrested or their connection to the two victims.
