Memorial services for Nettie Overseth, 95, of Mobridge will be at 11 AM, Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Nettie passed away Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Wishek Hospital in Wishek, ND. 

Nettie M. Overseth left this earth on February 13th, 2025, at the age of 95.

Nettie was born May 26th, 1929, in Trail City, SD to John and Rosa (Shrenk) Krein.

In Nettie’s 95 years, she has seen a lot of changes in this world, from indoor plumbing, color TV, and electric cooking gadgets, she always loved her flat top stove and microwave.  In her 80’s and 90’s she was able to learn how to use a cell phone, a computer and even Facebook as well as spending time on face time calls with her family.

Nettie attended Hoffert Country School in Trail City, SD until she graduated from the 8th grade. Then she attended McLaughlin Public school for 2 years, living in a dormitory.

After graduating she worked various jobs including the Old Railroad Hospital in Mobridge, SD, working in housekeeping.

Nettie was Confirmed in the Grace Congregational German Church in Mobridge.

Nettie married Robert E. Overseth on June 8th,1952 in Mobridge, SD. From that union came 4 children, Harley, Terry, Pam and Tim.

Nettie was a stay-at-home mom and helped her husband Robert run his Animal Healthcare business.

Besides all the work that went into the daily care of her family and husband’s business, she always had a good breakfast, lunch and dinner ready on a moment’s notice. Once all the children graduated high school, she went to work outside of the home.

Nettie worked for Al Berger at Bridge City Lanes and Pizza for 3 years. Then she went to work in Housekeeping and laundry at the Mobridge Care Center for the next 12 years. She rode her bike to and from work every day.

She was a member of The Women of the Moose.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1952 when she married Robert.

Nettie was preceded in death by her son Tim, her mother and father, 8 brothers, and 1 sister.

Nettie is survived by her sons, Harley (Carrie) of Mobridge, SD, Terry (Deb) of Yankton, SD, and one daughter, Pam Hare (Greg) of Rapid City, SD, and her daughter in Law Cindy Overseth of Wishek, ND. And 1 sister, Margie Lemburg of Selby, SD. 5 grandchildren, Shannon, Jeremy, Nathan, Haleigh and Aysha and 4 step grandchildren, Dale, Shelly, John and Jason.

During her last years in Wishek, she spent many days doing crafts and playing bingo and misc. games that the Living Center had going on. She really enjoyed the time she was able to spend with Tim, Cindy and Cindy’s granddaughter Alayna.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Wishek Living Center for the excellent care she received for the last 5 years.
