As The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Drew Sidora continues to navigate her “nightmare” divorce from Ralph Pittman, a new relationship seems to be the last thing on her mind.
When Cynthia Bailey asked in The Real Housewives of Atlanta After Show video above if Drew was still “not ready to date,” she explained, “I mean, I just feel like when you get to know someone for 10 years, it’s like, if I can’t trust the man that … was my best friend, how can I trust anybody?”
As such, she joked that she now looks at any potential mate “with a side eye,” adding, “I just don’t feel like I’m in the healthiest of places to even date someone, you know what I mean? Like, until I let go of this, I’m not really all 100 percent available to want to go down that road with someone. Like, [you’re] gonna have a lot to prove.”
Drew revealed she has casually “gone out on dates,” though. “But a real commitment? Absolutely not,” the mom of three elaborated. “That wouldn’t even be fair to what I have going on.”
Cynthia Bailey gives Drew Sidora dating advice
Having gone through two divorces herself, Cynthia — who’s now in a relationship with musician LePrince — shared that she “definitely took a beat” before diving back into the dating pool, following her splits from exes Peter Thomas and Mike Hill. Instead, she threw herself into work and focused on her acting career.
“For you, I will say take your time, but be open,” Cynthia offered in the above RHOA After Show clip. “Don’t close yourself down because you never know what God has for you.”
In response, Drew noted that she’d similarly already done five movies in the past year, in addition to recording an entire album with Porsha Williams’ ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley. “So, it’s like I really haven’t had even that time to, like, get to know anyone on that level,” she admitted.
Are Drew Sidora and Ralph Pittman divorced?
No. Providing a divorce update with Ralph in RHOA‘s May 18 episode, Drew revealed that, two years into the legal process, she’d hit yet another roadblock.
As she explained to her mother, Pastor Jeanette, Ralph had filed a motion to get her attorney removed from the case, while also “trying to come for” her company, Drew Sidora, LLC.
“Let’s be honest, Ralph and I are at war. Every time we go to court, it’s a new fight,” Drew told her mom. “If my attorney gets recused, I have to find a whole new lawyer. And, in actuality, it would kind of start over.”
Describing the ongoing divorce proceedings as “draining,” she added, “I just want to move on, I really do. … I just want it to come to an end.”
