MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. (TCN) —Â A 26-year-old man faces charges after allegedly fatally shooting his 25-year-old girlfriend over the weekend and leaving her body on a sidewalk.
According to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, on May 18 shortly after 12:20 a.m., West Conshohocken Police responded to the 200 block of Moorehead Avenue in reference to a possible shooting. Officers discovered Alyssa Wiest face down on the sidewalk with apparent gunshot wounds to her upper body. She was transported to a hospital and pronounced deceased.
Investigators searched Wiest’s home, which is near where her body was found, and noticed the door had been left open. Officials reportedly observed blood inside the residence and on the sidewalk leading to her body. Detectives recovered five projectiles in total.
Authorities identified the victim’s boyfriend, Michael Dutkiewicz, as the primary suspect. The two had reportedly been dating for the past two years.
