Ashley Darby is synonymous with Potomac, but could she ever call another zip code home?
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member opened up about the one locale that could get her to leave the bustling Washington D.C. area behind for sunnier shores on Bravo’s Love Hotel. The mom of two admitted in Episode 5 of the reality dating series that she could see herself moving to the Sunshine state someday.
More specifically, Satellite Beach, Florida, a coastal city known for its picturesque beach views.
The topic came up while Ashley was checking out a new batch of suitors hoping to check in to the Love Hotel, a decision that would have to be made by Ashley or her Housewife friends, RHOP’s Gizelle Bryant, The Real Housewives of New York City’s Luann de Lesseps and The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Shannon Storms Beador.
So far, there’s been some pretty steep competition for Ashley’s heart — host Joel Kim Booster has dubbed the group of men interested in Ashley as the “Ashley-verse” — but that didn’t deter the latest batch of handsome bachelors who arrived at the Mexico paradise.
Ashley reveals her dream to move to Florida
Scott, a 38-year-old in software tech sales from Chicago, Illinois, was hoping to throw his hat in the ring too and managed to get Ashley to sit down for a little beachside one-on-one.
“I had them set this up for us,” Scott joked as they headed to a secluded nook.
Ashley was a fan of Scott’s humor and appreciated his laid back attitude. “Something about Scott is that he seems very unbothered,” she told producers.
With only a few minutes to make an impression, Scott got right down to business, asking Ashley where she saw herself in the next few years. “What’s your openness to leaving DC?” he asked. “What would that mean?”
“So, I would love to move to, like, Satellite Beach, Florida,” she said, adding that she’d fallen in love with the area after getting her yoga certification there.
Although Scott’s current homebase is Chicago, he wasn’t opposed to relocating for the right person. “I’m open,” he said.
But while Ashley appreciated Scott’s “ light, fun, playful, airy” vibe, he was also hoping to have kids — something the mom of two wasn’t sure she was looking to do again.
Ashley gives Ralph her key to the Love Hotel
In the end, Scott didn’t make the cut.
The Housewives could only hand out three keys among them to the men they wanted to stay at the hotel and they chose Mitch, a 65-year-old retiree from Sacramento, California; Theo, a 49-year-old oral surgeon from New York; and Mark — who returned for one last chance at Luann’s heart after being sent home earlier this season.
The trio will now join the existing pool of suitors, but any man hoping to make an impression with Ashley will have to beat out the two bachelors she’s already shared some kisses with: Wale, a 38-year-old I.T. director from Providence, Rhode Island and Ralph, a 61-year-old sound system specialist from Nashville, Tennessee.
To find out who will win out, watch Bravo’s Love Hotel Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo or stream the next day on Peacock.
