Nia Sanchez Booko is “in awe” of her body in the wake of giving birth to her fourth child. The Valley cast member and her husband, Danny Booko, welcomed their fourth child — a baby daughter named Adelaide — into the world earlier this month. And now, the Miss USA 2014 is giving a look at life with her newly expanded family.
Nia took to her Instagram account earlier this week, where she posted a series of photos of herself in the hospital, holding Adelaide in her arms. She then took to the caption, where she penned a message about the power of her body and the beauty of its appearance after giving birth. “Let’s normalize postpartum bodies — truly, fully, unapologetically,” she wrote.
She proceeded to give a shoutout to Danny, as well as her mom, and her friends who have helped guide her through her postpartum journey. “And as I look at this body…I choose to see its strength and beauty,” she noted. “This body delivered all of our 4 babies in 3.5 years. And now, this body is healing, nurturing, and sustaining our baby with love and nourishment.”
“I am in awe. I am grateful,” she concluded.
Nia also took to her Instagram Story once she was out of the hospital, where she shared a look at her body “10 days postpartum.” “This was this morning,” she wrote. “Women’s bodies are incredible.”
Nia Sanchez Booko shares a look at her day-to-day life with four kids
Nia and Danny currently have their hands full with their 3-year-old son, Asher Booko, and 2-year-old twin daughters, Zariah and Isabelle Booko, in addition to their newborn baby. But Nia is still finding the time to rest with Adelaide and have one-on-one time with all of the kids.
Nia recently took to her Instagram Story, where she posted a photo of holding Adelaide as she went through her schedule for the day. “I’m mostly resting…but somehow my day is so full,” she wrote.
She noted that she had tea with Isabelle, sorted through baby clothes, made multiple appointments, met with a new babysitter, and got piano lessons set up for Asher. But, there was one thing that she did not get to. “Have not responded to one text,” she added.
After contact naps, Nia was able to spend some time with her twin daughters and hang out with Zariah. “I’m trying to find time for 20-30 min dedicated time out of the house with each little one,” she revealed.
Days after giving birth, Nia, Danny, and their three kids went to church for the first time as a family of five. But Nia’s Instagram followers were a little surprised by this, especially since she was wearing a white dress. She then took to her Instagram Story, where she got real about what was going on behind the scenes with her body.
“I sure did wear a diaper to church,” she admitted. “I was wearing an adult diaper, so this is just life. Literally going to church in an adult diaper.”
Inside Nia Booko and Danny Booko’s life in the Valley with their family
As the pair navigates into their new normal with a new baby, they are also settling into a new home as they recently moved to Santa Clarita from Encino.
Nia also shared some details about the baby’s nursery. “I think this newest baby [room] will be kind of like a fairy [theme],” Nia told The Daily Dish recently, ahead of the baby’s arrival.
“I have themes for every room. I already made multiple Pinterest boards,” Nia said. “And Daniel was looking at the Pinterest boards recently, and he’s like, ‘Do kids’ rooms need like full-on themes?’ And I said, ‘Yes, of course, they each need a theme.’ So Asher’s will be jungle… and then, maybe, like a little woodsy, cottagy, princessy [theme] for the girls, the twins… I have all the plans. It’s gonna be very cute.”
