Mom Kills Tot Daughter & Stuffs Body in Suitcase Before Reporting Her Missing – Crime Online

A Maryland woman allegedly admitted to fatally beating her 3-year-old daughter on Monday, then lying about her being abducted.

According to WCAU, Darrian Randle, 31, said she hit Nola Dinkins with a belt 15 to 20 times before realizing the girl was not breathing. Instead of seeking medical help, Randle reportedly called her boyfriend, Cedrick Britten, 44, and drove around with Dinkins’ body before returning home.

Court documents stated that Randle and Britten eventually put Dinkins’ body in a suitcase and left it on the basement stairs for the night. Britten eventually abandoned the suitcase containing Dinkins’ body at a park in Perryville, according to WCAU.

On Tuesday, Randle called New Castle, Delaware, police, claiming Dinkins was abducted at gunpoint. An AMBER Alert was issued before Britten told troopers that Dinkins had left the home with her mother. However, surveillance footage showed Randle leaving the residence alone, according to WBAL.

Officers noted that the home reeked of bleach — and a search of Britten’s car uncovered a child’s blanket with a reddish smear resembling blood, WBAL reported.

According to court documents, Randle ultimately admitted to officers that she lied about her daughter being abducted. On Wednesday, Britten  reportedly drew a map of the Maryland park where he allegedly dumped the toddler’s remains. A body was recovered from the park the following day.

Randle was charged with first- and second-degree murder, and first-degree child abuse resulting in death of a minor under 13. Britten was charged as an accessory to first- and second-degree murder. Randle is awaiting extradition to Maryland.
