It may seem like The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Dolores Catania always rocked long hair, but this photo shared by Dolores proves otherwise.
In 2018, she posted a throwback photo featuring a young Dolores and her dad smiling ear-to-ear. In the pic, Dolores’ dark brunette hair was styled into a textured pixie cut with loose curls, complementing her glossy lips and stunning satin red dress.
“Throwback of me going to prom and my dad coming home to tell my date that I [couldn’t] go out after,” Dolores said in the caption. “Thank you to my parents who made me the person I am today!”
Commenters were shocked by how little Dolores had aged since the photo was taken. “You look the same my girl!” one commenter wrote. “Gorgeous then, gorgeous now, inside and out,” another person wrote.

Dolores usually sticks to long locks, but she’s not afraid to change up her hair color. An old photo of Dolores and her ex-husband, Frank Catania, revealed that the New Jersey native was once blonde. The snap features her with long, honey-blonde curls next to Frank, who rocked a groovy moustache.
Nowadays, Dolores plays around with blonde highlights to spice up her signature brunette look. In January of this year, she had 24-inch extensions installed at Izabella Szlanta’s Bella’s Beauté Studio in Edgewater, New Jersey. The extensions had a root melt with beige highlights, giving her hair a gorgeous balayage effect.

Dolores doesn’t just alter her hair — she’s also had many cosmetic surgeries, from lip filler to liposuction. Dolores was very open and honest about her recent Renuvion procedure in Fall 2024. The skin-tightening procedure addressed one of Dolores’ biggest insecurities: her knees.
“I carry my weight in my thighs and my legs and I’ve always been very self-conscious. So, this has been a really long time coming for me to find the right procedure that would fix it,” Dolores said in an interview with BravoTV.com after the procedure.
While chatting with us, Dolores reported she was very happy with the surgery results. She explained that even only a few weeks after her surgery, she already felt better about her knees.
“Well, I’ve had more confidence. To be self-conscious about something, especially something on your body, you’re constantly aware of it. I just want freedom from that,” she said. “I want freedom from always trying to hide something on my body ’cause I was embarrassed of it or ashamed of it or I couldn’t stand the look of it. So, I’m looking forward to this summer.”
