Adjusting to blended-family life can be challenging for many children. But that wasn’t the case for Milania Giudice.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter addressed the topic during her recent appearance on Casual Chaos, a new podcast series hosted by her big sister Gia Giudice. Toward the end of the June 23 episode, Milania reflected on her relationships with her stepdad, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, and his son, Nicholas and Louie Ruelas Jr.
“It was actually way more easier and normal, right?” Milania said. “Me and little Louie fight like siblings. I’m always messing with him because he’s never had girl siblings, and he’s especially never had a sibling like me before. So, I needed to annoy him a little bit, but I always annoy him, and it’s really funny. And I love Nicholas.”
Gia echoed Milania, saying the Giudice-Ruelas family merge “was very seamless.”

Milania said she felt fortunate that Louie only had sons from a previous marriage, as she believed stepsisters would’ve posed more challenges.
“It was, honestly, fine. Honestly, I think it would’ve been much harder if we had to move in with girls,” she said. “I’m so lucky that Louie only had two boys. Boys are so easy. They actually don’t give a sh-t about anything.”
Gia co-signed the sentiment.
“I think blending girls — sisters and stepsisters — it’s definitely a little more challenging,” the Next Gen NYC cast member said. “Bringing new sisters, it can create tension, jealousy. It can create a lot.”

The interview went down as Milania’s mom, Teresa Giudice, approached her wedding anniversary with Louie. The couple tied the knot in August 2022, nearly two years after Teresa finalized her divorce from Joe Giudice. In addition to Gia and Milania, the ex-couple also shares daughters Gabriella and Audriana Giudice.
Although Milania has proven to be quite the daddy’s girl, she’s made it very clear she has nothing but love for her stepfather.
“Louie’s the best stepdad ever, and he’s so cool,” Milania said during the episode. “Anytime I have a problem, he’ll talk to me about it. He’s really the best stepdad ever. He’s really cool.”
Louie Ruelas reflects on his blended family life
Louie shed more light on his blended family at BravoCon 2023, saying his and Teresa’s respective kids were “in a really good place.”
“It’s cool. We’ve all leaned into our relationships, our love for each other,” he explained. “We’ve all grown together. We’ve taken a lot of time to kind of learn and know about each other, so it’s been really good.”
“He’s the best stepdad,” Teresa added.
